Livingston County Seeks Community Input to Help Steer Anti-Poverty Funds
GENESEO, N.Y., April 14, 2026 —
The Livingston County Office of Workforce Development is asking residents to complete a short survey identifying the most pressing needs of those living in poverty.
Workforce Development will use the survey’s results to direct its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding toward programs that best match residents’ needs. The CSBG is a federal program that funds support services targeting the root causes of poverty in under resourced communities.
“This survey is one of the most direct ways residents can shape how we spend these federal dollars and fight poverty in our region,” said Workforce Development Director Ryan Snyder. “By gathering feedback from a diverse pool of community members, we hope to gain a better understanding of the unique challenges facing those here living in poverty and to develop targeted, effective programs and services that address their most crucial needs.”
To participate, please visit the survey page link at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3BYK9QR. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and will be available until April 30, 2026. All answers are completely anonymous. Workforce Development will use the survey results to inform both new program and services development, as well as the assessment of existing anti-poverty initiatives.
